It is not just about layering clothes, but "layering materials."
Firmness and softness, luster and texture.
By daring to layer different textures and expressions, a new character is born even within a single garment.
Just as a woman shows different facets depending on her mood or the situation of the day, a single piece of clothing can harbor multiple expressions through the combination of its materials.
That is the layered style aLORS envisions this time.
The theme of our '26 Autumn Capsule Collection is:
"UNE FEMME, TROIS VISAGES"
The three versions of me that live within.
The intellectual, free, and slightly rebellious me.
The glamorous, passionate, and dreaming me.
The me who hides a calm sensuality and knows her own charm.
Through our clothes, we have expressed the three different faces that exist within a single woman.
Here, we introduce the background, based on the three faces within a woman as envisioned by Creative Director COCCO, and the "joy of dressing up" as conceived by Director AYA.
Translating the "three faces within a woman" into clothing
The first piece COCCO began working on for this collection was the "Odette" blouse.
Chemise Odette｜Willpower within delicacy
Odette, known as the heroine of "Swan Lake."
She is a beautiful, elegant, and calm swan, yet beneath the surface of the water, she is constantly paddling to move forward.
Living life to the fullest where no one else can see, yet still moving forward with grace.
We superimposed the image of this swan onto the modern woman.
For the soft wool, we added plenty of voluminous ruffles that seem to capture the air.
Meanwhile, we gave the collar and cuffs a touch of sharpness to express the strength of will hidden inside.
Delicate, yet not just sweet.
We imbued that multifaceted nature into a single blouse.
Chemise Claude｜Reason, independence, and a bit of defiance
Claude is a name used for both men and women.
Male or female? I designed this piece starting from that ambiguity of not fitting neatly into one attribute.
With pockets reminiscent of work shirts or western shirts, tortoiseshell-style metal buttons, and a masculine check pattern.
By pairing these with a bold cropped length and longer cuffs, we achieved a balance that feels almost cheeky.
What I layered onto this shirt was
a woman with reason, independence, and a touch of defiance.
The red and green colors do not represent different people.
"It's just the difference of the same person choosing red one day and green another."
After all, we humans aren't always in the same mood.
Chemise Maude｜A woman with both strength and softness
The name Maude means "strength in battle."
What COCCO depicted was not just a feminine woman.
She has the power to think, stands on her own two feet, and is full of vitality. And she knows the joy of living.
To express the beauty and strength that emanates from within such a woman, we chose cupro fabric.
It is a material that looks like denim but possesses a luster and a soft drape.
With gathers running from the chest to the center of the body, it is tailored to reveal the curves of the body even without exposing skin.
"Not a sexiness intended to show off to others, but something you keep secretly to yourself."
I expressed that quiet sensuality in indigo blue.
What the three faces have in common
What COCCO valued most through these three pieces was not to depict them as completely separate individuals, but to establish them as "different expressions that coexist within a single woman."
To ensure they didn't become "costumes" for playing a character, we focused on reality, allowing each piece to have its own personality while remaining easy to incorporate into a daily wardrobe.
Even though the styles of the three pieces are different, at their core lies the same elegance and poise of the woman aLORS values.
Enjoying the version of yourself that changes with your attire
Embedded in this collection is also the idea that,
"You don't have to define yourself by one style."
While thinking about this collection, the word "wavering" (tayutau) kept coming to AYA's mind.
Just as objects floating on water drift back and forth with the wind and waves, our interests and passions do not stay in one place.
There are days when you are drawn to feminine outfits, and days when you want to wear something masculine.
There are times you want to look polished and composed, and times you want to let your guard down and enjoy yourself freely.
Therefore, I don't think there is any need to pigeonhole yourself by saying, "I am a person with this style."
Freely combine materials, colors, and items to match your mood and the movements of your heart that day.
By doing so, even your usual clothes take on a different expression.
Sometimes a mode full of intelligence.
Sometimes an elegance full of splendor.
And sometimes, being true to yourself with a comfortable sense of ease.
Try pairing the glamorous Odette with your usual denim.
Try pairing Claude with feminine heels.
Try pairing Maude with cargo pants for a drier look.
There is no rule that says "this is how it should be worn."
Drift between the many versions of yourself, just as your mood dictates.
While trying this and that, you choose for yourself.
