Spring and summer outfits, the lighter they are,
can sometimes feel like something is missing.
Even when they are simple and comfortable,
the overall impression can look a little too faint.
At such times, you want to add something,
but you don't want to choose anything too overpowering.
Something that keeps the lightness intact,
while adding depth to your attire.
That is the bag born from our collaboration with Le Costantine.

Le Costantine was founded in 1905 in the Lecce region of Southern Italy
by five women.
What has been passed down is a weaving technique
called Fiocco leccese, native to this land.
While preserving tradition, they continue to create new expressions
by weaving in contemporary sensibilities.
Their reliable craftsmanship has been highly acclaimed in various fields,
including being adopted for the exclusive lines of luxury French fashion houses.

It takes more than 24 hours to finish just one of these items.
It exists at the opposite end of the spectrum from making things quickly and in bulk.
Selecting the threads, weaving, adjusting, and finishing.
The accumulation of that time creates a quiet presence
that goes beyond mere surface beauty.
Handmade items have an appearance
that isn't overly uniform.
Because it isn't too perfect,
it blends naturally into everyday attire.
It is refined,
yet has a certain softness.
That balance looks just right for light spring and summer styling.

Pair it with a white shirt,
or add it to a refreshing summer dress.
Just carrying it casually
changes the atmosphere of your outfit ever so slightly.
Not to make a statement,
but to refine the overall balance.
What is needed for spring and summer styling
may not be to add many things,
but to choose just one.

Le Costantine's textiles are imbued with
the land of Southern Italy, the handiwork of women,
and the memories of a long passage of time.
It is not merely a bag or accessory,
but something that adds a narrative to your outfit.
In this light season, it is a piece that brings depth to your look.
